Bengals came into being through the
mating of the Asian Leopard cat which is a small feral cat this was
crossed with domestic cats of various breeds including Abyssinians,
Egyptian Mau, Burmese and the Domestic Short Hair too name a few.
Bengals should be outgoing adventurous cats, talkative with a loving
temperament, and are a very hardy breed health wise. They are very
intelligent cats and can be trained too play fetch and walk in a harness.
They come in the spotted or marbled
patterns but all Bengals have a spotted belly. Colours range from all
shades of browns known as brown tabby's. Then there are the Seal Minks,
the Seal Sepias , the Seal Lynx Points known as Snows, also Silvers are
now recognised.
The Bengal has a short, dense, soft,
plush pelt like texture similar to a rex rabbit.
