Ragdolls are born white in colour and do not develop their full colour until they are approximately two years of age. They take up to four years to mature.  The fur is medium length, silky and non matting.  The coat is generally very easy to care for a brush once a week for a pet and if dirty either bath or rub talcum powder through the coat and leave in and when the powder works its way out the coat will be lovely.

Ragdolls are people cats, they are affectionate not aloof and are indoor cats only.   They are intelligent, playful and  have lovely personalities, the Ragdoll  will happily live with other cats & dogs. Ragdolls are large and heavy. Males may reach 7kg or larger, while females will be about 4kg, and generally shorter. Ragdolls come in many colours and patterns.  The main patterns are colour points, mitted, bi colours, torti and tabbies.   Colours blues, seal, chocolate, lilacs, reds, creams.

If you are looking for a companion indoor cat who loves attention then this could be the breed for you.
